IMU-CET is the entrance exam for B.Tech Marine Engineering, B.Sc Nautical Science and the Diploma in Nautical Science (DNS) at Indian Maritime University campuses and affiliated institutes. GP Rating and GME admissions usually run through institute or shipping-company tests, and we prepare you for those too.
Who is eligible for IMU-CET?
For B.Tech Marine Engineering, B.Sc Nautical Science and DNS you generally need 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Maths, at least 60% aggregate in PCM, and at least 50% in English in 10th or 12th. The usual age limit is 17 to 25 years. Always confirm with the latest IMU notification.
Can I prepare online if I don't live in Dehradun?
Yes. We run live online classes and online mock tests in the real IMU-CET format, so students anywhere in India can join.
What is company sponsorship?
A shipping company selects you through its own written test and interview and backs your seat and onboard training. Sponsored cadets get assured sea time, which is essential to become an officer.
Is there a medical test for Merchant Navy courses?
Yes. You must pass a medical examination by a DG Shipping approved doctor, including eyesight standards. We guide you on this before you spend money on admissions.
